Congratulations to the Class of 2023

The National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh (NOHC) annually recognises nursing students around Irish National Orthopaedic Nurses Day. This year, we celebrated the accomplishments of eight remarkable women who completed their Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate in Nursing (Orthopaedic Nursing) at NOHC. The honorees were Katie Murray, Thokozile Ndlovu, Nisha Rajesh, and Sarah Reynolds, who completed their Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Orthopaedic Nursing) and Maurene Cruz Sampayan, Emma Irwin Gomes, Patricia Yaranon, and Fidelma Kenny who received their Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Orthopaedic Nursing).
These women have demonstrated extraordinary dedication and perseverance by balancing their challenging jobs, families, and academic studies. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and extend our warmest congratulations to each of them. Their commitment to their education and the nursing profession serves as an inspiration to us all.
We are also thrilled to announce that Nurse Fidelma Kenny has been awarded the prestigious Catherine Cummins Medal, one of the highest honours bestowed by our hospital. This award, named after the Hospital’s founder, recognises Fidelma as the Postgraduate student who achieved the highest average grade across three modules. Her outstanding academic achievements are a testament to her tireless work ethic and passion for nursing. Congratulations and well-deserved Fidelma, and happy International Orthopaedic Nurses Day to our wonderful nursing staff.
